Finally! My scrap room
So I know some of you have been waiting to see pics of my room. I keep waiting thinking I'm going to get everything done and just perfect. Well, that has not happened yet. Here is what I have so far.
First is walking in the room.
Second is from the opposite side of the room looking out the door.
Then there are the two walls of the room.
The end of the room with the window has my home-made art and the table I work at when I am not working on the floor.
Then there is the closet and a close up of my closet clip-it-up system.

Make-up is fun!
The girls really enjoy putting make-up on. I don't like them in my good stuff, so we gave them some kits full of all sorts of goodies. I guess Bridget was trying to match her clothes with all the blue and purple and Becca with the pink. It's funny how beautiful they think they are like this. "Mommy take my picture!" Ummmmm, okay.
Not much else happening lately. I went in for an "interview" at the Montessori school. Mostly it was just so the Director and the teacher could tell me the details of what I would be doing. No surprises though.

A little news and a birthday!
Most people I know understand that I think it is super important that Becca gets to attend the Montessori school Bridget went to the past 2 years. Problem number one is the expense of this place--you have to REALLY think it is worth the price. Problem number two (and the biggest change from last year) is now both girls will be gone everyday and what the heck am I gonna do. Sure I could scrapbook all day. I feel like I have to search and make up things to do while I am alone, I don't feel productive. I look forward to the time I get to have a kid home with me--then I feel like I am doing something. So what to do. I had a thought. I called the Montessori school yesterday to ask if they were fully staffed for Fall. They informed me that there was an assistant teacher position open, but they were about to offer it to somebody later in the day. They would rather have people they know, so if I wanted it I could have it and, are you ready for this bonus.....Becca's tuition is free if I work there! I said yes to that deal! I am so excited!
Today is my "little" sister-in-law's 18th birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELSIE! I hope you are enjoying your trip to California. Guess she is not really a little kid any longer, and she is about a foot taller than me. So I shouldn't be calling her "little" any more, hehehe.

Visiting Kristin and Sawyer
On our visit today, we didn't stay long, but the kids had a good time. Bridget and Becca had a blast using Kristin's exercise machine as a swing. Sawyer even tried to tattle on them while they were on it. He was saying something that I didn't quite make out, but totally understood him as he babbled it pointing accusingly at them. For a few minutes they played hide and seek. Bridget was hiding and Becca was leading Sawyer around looking for her. So cute! Bridget took her camera and Sawyer got hold of it and went to town taking pictures of his (super cute) shirt (that I bought him).
We left because we had plans to go swimming at the rec center by our house. This was our first trip and it was so nice. It is this great indoor pool--no worries about sun burn. There are 2 pools. One is deep for swimming and diving. The other is shallow and has fountains that go off in it and it has a lazy river to float around in. It was lots of fun! I guess we did enough today because both girls are passed out snoring on the sofa.

Everybody loves Ruby
This dog is so sweet! She is happy any place she can find somebody to pet her. Today we went to see Sawyer and Kristin. Ruby went with as they have not met her yet and she travels so peacefully. Sawyer liked her and she seemed pleased with him. Just don't stop petting her! Look at those sweet brown puppy dog eyes!

New pages
I got my kit that I subscribe to the other day and am challenging myself to use most it right away.
The first page used Carolee's Creations paper--photos of Kristin and Sawyer on their trip to the pumpkin patch last Fall.
The other 2 pages are Daisy Bucket paper. The page of Sawyer is missing any info/journaling because I don't have it until I talk with Kristin. The last page is Bridget. She was two and we had these photos taken for Papa at Christmas a couple years ago.

An example of bad photo composition
If you ever read any photograpghy books or photo tips, one of the things it always says is to watch the composition, to look what's around your subject. This photo shows I did not do that. I think it is funny. The stroller handles behind Bridget look like antennas (maybe that should be antennae?) on her head.

My perfect girls
Really, I don't say this all the time, but today they have been soooooo good! We went to Deanna Rose and I didn't have to get after them once! Then we came home and I just felt icky, so I told them to behave for just a few minutes while I jumped in the shower. This photo is what I found when I checked on them. So cute! Curled up together on the sofa, with blankies, and Bridget was reading out loud. Awwwwwww!
First trip of the year to Deanna Rose
Deanna Rose is such a great place. Since we moved we are so close to it, but it still took us this long to get there. Today we went and met up with Kristin and Sawyer, Amy, Kameron, and Noah. It was so nice out today!
EDIT*EDIT*EDIT
To Kelsie: Bridget wore her Crocs today and they are visible in the photos. I thought The Farmstead would be okay.
Cousins come to visit
Last week my SIL was needing to take Dennis and Daniel to their two month doctor visit. She expressed some concern about taking all the kids with her. This seemed like a nightmare to me, so I told her I would be happy to watch the other kids while she went to the doctor. So Kynzie and Max got to visit for a short time. I think they had a good time while here. They got to ride around in the jeep out back. Kynzie said that was fun because she had never been able to drive before. Funny, all the other four year olds are driving these days--the poor deprived girl! Becca and Max played with the tools and fixed a few things, then the girls had a tea party! Fun times!
