Sometimes my not so girlie-girl wants to be a princess too. Both girls got these Barbie Island Princess dresses from Santa and Becca has put hers on every morning so far. This morning she added accessories and happily posed for me.

The best dinner I've ever had
Last night Schaun took me to a restaurant called Amor de Brazil. It is located at 119th and Metcalf (where Copeland's used to be). I went in skeptical. I thought it might be too spicy, but it was all just delicious and fun! It is fun to just taste everything. You don't have to make a decision on what one thing you want to eat, but if you know what you want to eat, you could! The salad bar had lots of different things--some "typical" salad bar food, seafood items, breads, cheese, and soup. Lobster bisque is yummy!
I told him that it was the best dinner I ever had, but then I remembered the Melting Pot. I really like to dip my food and that was fun too. So I'd say they are different but equal, both delicious (and on the expensive side). You get what you pay for though!

Playing in the snow
Playing in the snow is so much fun--at least for the girls. We missed the last snow and I knew the girls would be really sad if we missed this one. So I bundled them up and out we went. Bridget likes to get in the snow, roll around, make snow angels. Becca just likes to run around, taste the snow and spit it out. Daisy loves to be in the front yard with us. She seemed especially happy today bouncing and running in the cold with the girls.

Counting Down
Three days until Christmas. Things have not been going my way. I had a list of things to do yesterday. None of it happened. Becca got sick in the van on the way to drop off Bridget. So she was home sick all day. She seemed to feel better last night, but got sick again in the middle of the night. So far today we are all clear. I went out for a while this morning, but only got one thing done before I got freaked out by the streets and all the sleet.
I still have Bridget's stocking to finish--I'm almost there though. The Grand Walk-in Kitchen has not been started and the girls gifts are not wrapped. I can do this, I can do this, I can do this.

Just sweet!
Yummy Treats
Recently, when visiting my mom, she gave the girls some ice cream. Later, they told me they want that on every visit. I told my mom about this requirement and she came through. Last Saturday we went over to help make some peanut butter balls (yum-yum) and the girls were so happy when Gramma served them some ice cream again!

Eight Days
Eight days until Christmas!
I am still in the beginning stages of Bridget's stocking. Need to finish that.
Need to build the Grand Walk in Kitchen. Want it ready on Christmas morning.
Need to wrap, wrap, and wrap more gifts.

First Sleepover
For a while now, the girls have been asking if Becca can sleep in Bridget's room. I told them last week, that they could try it over the weekend.
I was not sure if this would work out because they sleep very different. Becca sleeps with a lamp on and doesn't like the dark. Bridget sleeps with a little night light. Becca sleeps in a quiet room, Bridget wants music playing. Becca wants the door open, Bridget wants hers closed. Becca sleeps ALL over the bed, Bridget doesn't move.
After talking about these differences, they still wanted to try it. Becca was happy to crawl up in Bridget's bed and sleep in there just as Bridget likes it. It went just perfect. They both slept peacefully. Not one complaint. So at bedtime last night, Becca went and curled up in Bridget's bed again.
For some reason I just don't think that I should let this to continue, but I'm not sure what that reason is. They both seem to find it comforting and are happy. Do you have any thoughts on this?

New Decorations
Christmas Tree
The past couple years we have gone out and brought home a real tree. This year, circumstances just didn't allow it. So Last Saturday, I decided to go get our tree at Target so we would have one before Christmas passed us by.
I have to say, the artificial tree is about 253 times easier to get set up. And the pre-lit deal, lovin' that too!

Noah's Birhday Party
We just got home from Noah's fun birthday party. He decided that a place called the Flip Zone in Lee's Summit would be a great place. Great decision for a two year old huh? It was a fun place! It was a big gym area with mats everywhere, a giant trampoline, and there was an inflatable obstacle course set up for a while. The kids (and the "adults") had a great time jumping, running, and flinging balls at each other. My mom even got on the trampoline and jumped and Kristin was doing cartwheels!
