Can we go outside now?
Cherished Moments
A recent layout with newborn photos of Becca. This one was a little different for me-not my normal color scheme. This was for a challenge that required we use the phase "at first glance". So I asked for some help and my friend Dana whipped me up this cute poem:
At the first glance
you had me in a trance.
I couldn't take my eyes off you
love filled me through and through.
A tiny miracle from up above
was bestowed upon me to love.
Motherhood has given me a chance
to know this kind of love at first glance.

4 Generations
Sometimes I finish a layout and it turns out on paper the same way as I imagined it in my head. That just makes me happy. Maybe it is because I treasure this photo so much, but this might be my favorite page yet. I took a close up so you can see the pretty sparkles on the flowers. I think this might go on the wall someplace. I don't want to stick it in an album. I think it was last May that we took this photo. It is my gramma, my mom, me, and my girls.

Picture Day
We went to Portrait Innovations and had Bridget's 5 year old photos take today. She is in this stage where she sees a camera and puts on this fake smile that looks like she is in pain. We did get a few good ones and I will post them later. For now, here are some photos from playing outside today and some I like better than the ones I just paid for. The whole day and only one photo of Becca. She didn't want her picture taken and she made sure that it didn't happen.

A budding photographer
Okay. Bridget got the coveted Fisher Price digital camera for her birthday. I admit I have not been on the ball about downloading her photos, but I did do it this morning. Let me just say, there were several of the ceiling or the floor, but she had some really good ones too! People seem to let loose when she is behind the camera.

Ahhhhhh
This weather is so fantastic! Yesterday I took the girls to Antioch Park. What a great place that is! They have wonderful jungle gyms with that cool squishy stuff as ground under it and they have this little "city" for the kids to play in. It is a row of little building that are painted different, like a bank, a school, a town hall. The girls had so much fun. We played there for about and hour and a half. There were quite a few kids there too but there is so much to play on there were no squabbles.
I didn't have my camera yesterday, but this morning we went out and shot a few photos! I got some action shots of Bridget dancing and Becca, she is just silly all the time.

Bridget is FIVE
It is hard to believe, but it is true! Five! Wow. I have to say the whole five year old thing is freaking me out a little bit. I think it is mostly because of Kindergarten. It just seems too soon to send her off to a school with all the big kids around. I really don't like that idea. I have found a way around that for now though. We are going to keep her enrolled at the Montessori school. They offer private Kindergarten. Even though it costs an arm and a a leg, it is worth every penny.
We always have a theme for birthdays. This year Bridget wanted Barbie as Princess Genevieve from the movie "the 12 Dancing Princesses". We had the regular attendees of aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Schaun and I didn't want to prepare anything, so we ordered some trays of food. That just makes things so easy!
We ordered Bridget a really pretty Barbie cake. There was an actual whole Barbie in the cake! Bridget got some new clothes that she really needed , a watch, (thankfully) just a few toys, and she got the elusive Fisher-Price digital camera! It is so much fun. I'll have to download her photos and post some here.

ELEVEN
Eleven is the number of people that were at my house on Sunday that were sick Monday or Tuesday.
Super contagious sick germs are what you leave with from my parties I guess. Kristin told me next year she would prefer a goodie bag.
This must have been one hell of a germ. It's not like we were all sharing cups, plates and swapping spit for goodness sake. It was a 5 year olds birthday party. It must have been air born.
