Perspective

Remember Bridget's camera? She has been busy with it. I bought a memory card for the camera some time ago and I have not downloaded the pictures until today. She really likes to take pictures of the television (I'll spare you from those) and herself the most. Other than those she has some pretty good ones. There are one or two that Becca must have taken in there too.

What a sweet guy

Yesterday my husband bought my girlfiends and me lunch (and he wasn't even there). Then when he got home he said he would hang out with the girls and I could go crop. You don't have to ask me twice. I packed a few things in my van and left.

When i got home I asked if I should be worried about something that he was going to tell me. You know, I'm feeling like he is buttering me up for something. He acted shocked and said no.

America's Birthday

Even with the rain and the heat, the 4th turned out to be a fun time for everybody. Kris and Wendy have a beautiful home. They had so much food that I think everybody waddled out of there. The menu included shrimp, steak, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken! The legal fireworks in Raymore is something spectacular. We sat out on the deck and watched a display like I have never seen before. It is fun to watch the big city displays, but to be sitting in the middle of all these HUGE fireworks going off ALL around you is so fun. Fireworks just make people happy. The sounds was so cool too. It just went on for hours in that neighborhood.

The pool in their yard was so nice! Bridget swam before the rain and again after dark (even though it was a little cold) until I made her get out because she just seemed exhausted and that was after 10:00.

Becca fell asleep around 9:00 and slept hours hours of fireworks, she was REALLY tired. We got home a little before midnight. It was a really fun day!

Things have been slow

I guess I have not had much to say lately. That's funny if you really know me. Me not having something to say! Hahahaha!

I've just been hanging out with the girls. Bridget has started to tell me daily how much she misses school. "Do I start Kindergarten tomorrow mom?" Nope, sorry you have to stay home, play, and sleep late. Poor thing!

We had our first real taste of summer this week. It started to get hot and humid. I just hate that feeling of the air closing in on me.

We went to visit Kristin yesterday. We were driving around and Becca started a little show in the van. She kept demanding that everybody laugh! She was laughing and it was so funny! Such a clown!

Sawyer is getting big! He was so good when we were out shopping yesterday. He gives big smiles when you talk to him and I can't imagine there is a person that can't resist a great big baby smile.

Today is the 4th of July. We are going to my sister in laws for what sounds like is going to be a huge party. I'm excited because she has lived in this house for quite a while and we have never seen it. Also, she lives around the corner from my dearest friend Norma and I hope to squeeze in a visit with her too!

The rest of photo day

From the photo shoot yesterday, we got ONE good picture of Becca. Bridget on the other hand is always ready to smile for the camera.

She wanted to wear her recital costume and it turned out really cute!

Photo Day for Becca...(NOT)

We tried to have some 3 year old photos of Becca taken today. She was all excited and positive. There were bribes in place.

It didn't work.

You knew it right?

You knew that I couldn't just stop taking pictures on dress rehearsal night--you knew that I hope. The little girls did so great. The audience full of people didn't seem to phase them. As is customary after a performance, Bridget left with her arms FULL of bouquets of flowers! We gave her a big one and she got some more from Aunt Kristin and Uncle Mark, Gramma Kathy, Gramma and Papa. After her dance they are required to change out of the costume. I was hoping everybody could see it up close, but oh well! At intermission I got a a cute shot of my mom with Bridget. What a fun night!

Dance Recital

So exciting! Bridget's dance school is having their annual recital on Sunday. Saturday was the dress rehearsal and I took lots of photos. I thought it would be easier with less people there than during the real recital. The little girls are so darn cute in the little costumes! They are doing a little ballet number to a song from Cinderella. All the girls were very excited about getting to wear make-up. I think that was even more exciting than the danceing part. The bottom photo is Bridget with her Aunt Kelsie (who is also in the recital).

Old Shawnee Days

Saturday we headed out to Old Shawnee Days. Bridget talks about going to the carnival all year. Becca was feeling a little under the weather, but she seemed up for it. Considering she just wants to watch from the stroller. She doesn't have any desire to get out try any rides. They were both really really quiet on the way there. A little too quiet. Suddenly, Becca started to cry. I knew that cry. It was the "I'm gonna throw up cry". I was right. UGH!

So Schaun turned the car around and headed home. Bridget was so sad, and Becca was so sad. At home I got Becca cleaned up (it wasn't really all that bad) and Schaun and I decided to give going back a shot. It was a good decision. Becca was a little pathetic looking, but she was still happy. Bridget was ecstatic to go on all the rides and the big blow up slides. I took her on the ferris wheel (where I took a few shots from the top) and Schaun went on the carousel with her. The weather was perfect and it was a fun time.
